Posadis Master File Editor

Mfedit is a master file editor based on Poslib (1.0.3 and later), and GTK+. It has the following features:

• Open and save standards-compliant DNS master files.
• Edit Resource Records. The editor knows about 18 RR types.
• Added Pos6-compatible zone configuration directives (invisible to other DNS servers).
• Create a basic zone skeleton for new zones.
• Convert all domain names in a zone to relative or absolute.
• Check for syntax errors: multiple records at a CNAME rr, pointers to nonexisting domains within the zone, and incorrect Resource Record data.
• Portable to many platforms, including Linux and other Unices and Windows.

The latest Mfedit release is 0.60.6. You can get it from the release page. Currently, if you use Windows, you will need to download the complete Posadis installer to get Mfedit. We might make a separate installer later.
